Like most people involved in art, I have been working at it all my life in some form or another. A few years ago I retired from technical writing and illustrating, and I now am free to pursue art in all its forms. Over the years I have worked in all large variety of media and subject matter with great pleasure and some success. I have received a few awards in oil painting and drawing, and believe I have accomplished a credible command of figure drawing through formal study. My polymer clay page describes my revived interest in sculpture and the history of my roses. I enjoy building and maintaining my own web site, and occasionally do web design for other artists:
News: Current events in my life are new construction converting my garage to an art studio, and construction of a shed for extra storage. I have posted a short photo diary of each construction: Jaxilyn's Art Studio, and Jaxilyn's Storage Shed.
